Hey! I’m Sarah Schanze.
I’m an artist and designer living in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area (go Caps!). As an ex-Military Brat, I’ve lived on both sides of the American coast, and even a bit outside of them.
In my free time I enjoy making and reading comics, building big Lego sets, playing tabletop rpgs, and learning about ancient history. I have two cats and a dog and they all kind of get along.
My Story
As a Military Brat, I’ve lived in multiple states and even outside America. I like to think a childhood of travel imbued me with a natural curiosity of the world, its people, and its history.
I went to college to study animation and media arts, and upon graduating I landed in the education technology sphere. Since I still made things for kids, I loved working there and I know we made a direct difference in many lives.
Now I’m looking for opportunities to create art and stories that inspire and inform. From comics for college kids to illustrations for children’s media, I’ve got experience creating art for all ages. Please reach out and let’s make something awesome together!
